Double-click the .ttf, then Install in Font Book. Or:cp ~/Downloads/Thoovanam-Regular.ttf ~/Downloads/Thoovanam1987-Regular.ttf ~/Library/Fonts/

Windows

Right-click the .ttf, then Install (or Install for all users).

Linux

Copy it into your fonts folder and refresh the cache:mkdir -p ~/.local/share/fonts && cp ~/Downloads/Thoovanam-Regular.ttf ~/Downloads/Thoovanam1987-Regular.ttf ~/.local/share/fonts/ && fc-cache -f

Restart the app you want it in. In Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere and After Effects, turn on the Middle Eastern & South Asian (World-Ready) paragraph composer, or conjuncts fall apart.

Download the WOFF2 above, host it next to your CSS, and tag the text as Malayalam with lang="ml".
